Why I Started Pure Sunshine Co.

The story behind the brand and the moment everything changed.

Most people start a skincare brand because they love beauty. I started one because I watched the system fail my family and then watched my mom refuse to accept it.

I grew up in Wisconsin. We were a normal family in every sense of the word the kind that went to the doctor when something was wrong, trusted what we were told, and filled prescriptions without asking many questions. That all changed when my sister was diagnosed with Lyme Disease.

The Moment That Changed My Family Forever

She was prescribed pills and almost overnight, she became a different person. Foggy. Disconnected. A walking zombie, as my mom described it. When my mom went back to the doctor and told him what she was seeing, his response floored her:

"She's on [such and such] for a reason, so she's going to be a little dopey."

That was it. My mom walked out, threw away the medication, and never looked back.

What came next was the real education. She found chiropractors, naturopaths, holistic practitioners, and alternative therapies like the Rife machine. She completely overhauled our diet. And my sister got better. I was in 6th grade watching all of this unfold and it planted a seed in me that never went away: the conventional system doesn't always have the answer, and you have every right to look elsewhere.

Pure Sunshine Co. And What It Really Means

Pure Sunshine Co. is everything to me. But I want to be honest about something: I can't take credit for it.

I found Christ, and through Him I found the Truth. The name Pure Sunshine isn't just about clean ingredients it's about letting His light shine through me and onto others. Every product I make, every label I design is an act of purpose. I want to support my family, serve my community, and spread something real in a world full of noise and deception.

The brand was born from my sister's story, shaped by years of watching industries profit from confusion, and built on the belief that people deserve better better ingredients, better transparency, and better products made by someone who actually cares.
